PUMA MB.06 'Shooting Star' Launches LaMelo Ball’s Next Chapter
LaMelo enters Minnesota era with new signature.ByAaron ShamimAug 17, 2026

A new team isn't the only change coming for LaMelo Ball. As Ball prepares for the next stage of his NBA career in Minnesota, PUMA is also moving his signature footwear line forward with the MB.06, the sixth model created for one of basketball's most distinctive sneaker personalities.
Among the first colorways expected for Fall 2026 is the 'Shooting Star,' a purple-heavy edition that continues the otherworldly themes and unmistakable branding that have followed Ball throughout the MB series. Dark Amethyst and Lavender Alert establish the look, spreading different shades of purple across the upper, laces, cushioning, and outsole. Bright blue accents provide contrast through the PUMA Formstrip and several of Ball's signature graphics.

The MB.06 also continues to embrace the personal language that has made LaMelo's sneakers immediately recognizable. “1 of 1,” “RARE,” and his familiar “Not From Here” messaging appear throughout the design, reinforcing the identity PUMA and Ball have developed across six generations of signature footwear.
A metallic wing graphic near the heel adds to the theme, while silver detailing on the tongue breaks up the darker palette. Underfoot, purple traction surrounds a contrasting blue section through the center, with a star graphic appearing near the forefoot.

Beyond the colorway, the MB.06 arrives at an interesting point in Ball's career. His signature line was built during his years in Charlotte, but its sixth generation will now follow him into Minnesota and a new basketball environment. That gives the MB.06 an opportunity to become the sneaker associated with the beginning of his next era rather than simply another continuation of the series.
Following the model's Puerto Rico-exclusive introduction, additional MB.06 colorways are expected to roll out throughout Fall 2026. The PUMA MB.06 'Shooting Star' releases in Fall 2026 for $130 USD.
