Tony Yayo has confirmed that Reebok’s iconic G-Unit sneaker line is officially making a comeback in 2026. The announcement came during an appearance on The Real Report podcast, giving longtime fans their clearest indication yet that the early-2000s hip-hop footwear franchise is returning to retail.
The revival marks the first major return for the Reebok G-Unit 6G line in nearly two decades. Originally launched during 50 Cent’s highly successful partnership with Reebok, the sneakers became one of the defining examples of rap culture crossing directly into mainstream footwear and fashion.

At its peak, the G-Unit line represented more than just music merchandise. The sneakers reportedly generated over $80 million during their first year on the market, helping prove that artist-driven footwear collaborations could compete alongside major athlete signature lines. That success also helped shape the blueprint for many celebrity sneaker partnerships that followed in later years.
The timing of the return feels especially relevant given fashion’s current obsession with early-2000s nostalgia. Retro basketball sneakers, oversized denim, velour tracksuits, and throwback hip-hop aesthetics have all surged back into mainstream style, creating a natural lane for G-Unit’s comeback.

Reebok itself has also been leaning deeper into heritage-driven projects. Recent revivals connected to classic streetwear and music-era collaborations show the brand continuing to revisit influential moments from its archive, and bringing back G-Unit adds another recognizable chapter to that strategy.
While full details remain limited, early expectations point toward the return of the G-Unit 6G silhouette alongside classic-inspired colorways tied to the original era. Pricing and official launch information are expected to surface closer to the rumored July 2026 release window.
