Rare Air Jordan 11 Sample Honors Tinker Hatfield
One of the rarest Air Jordans you'll see.ByAaron ShamimMay 01, 2026

A rare Air Jordan 11 sample created for Tinker Hatfield has surfaced, offering a glimpse into one of the more exclusive unreleased pairs tied to Jordan Brand. Reportedly dating back to 2013, the sneaker is believed to have been produced as a personal tribute connected either to Hatfield’s birthday or his lasting impact on the brand.
Unlike the traditional Air Jordan 11 construction, this version swaps the model’s signature ballistic mesh upper for smooth white leather. The material shift gives the silhouette a more refined and luxurious feel while maintaining the instantly recognizable shape that made the Jordan 11 iconic.
The mudguard takes on an especially unique look through iridescent copper and rose gold patent leather. That shimmering finish changes with light and sharply separates the sample from standard retail colorways. It transforms one of the model’s most familiar elements into something more commemorative and premium.

Personalized details reinforce the connection to Hatfield throughout the shoe. The tongue label replaces the classic “Jumpman Jordan” text with his full name, while the heel tab trades the traditional “23” for “TH.” Black Jumpman logos on the collar provide contrast and preserve a key piece of Jordan 11 identity.
Inside the sneaker, original design sketches of the Air Jordan 11 appear on the insoles, tying the sample directly back to Hatfield’s creative process. Combined with a white midsole and icy translucent outsole, the pair balances tribute elements with the timeless framework of the original design.
As with many special Jordan samples, this pair is not expected to reach retail. Instead, it stands as a collector-level artifact that highlights the legacy of the designer who helped shape much of the Air Jordan line.
