Nike appears ready to continue its renewed focus on Kevin Durant’s earlier signature models with the return of the Nike KD 6 'Seat Pleasant.' Originally introduced in 2013 as Durant’s first colorway for the KD 6, the release remains one of the most personal stories attached to his signature line.
The colorway draws inspiration from Seat Pleasant, the hometown environment that played a major role in shaping Durant’s early basketball journey before reaching the NBA. Rather than pulling from team colors or broad themes, the sneaker reflects a more personal chapter tied directly to where his love for the game began.

Bright Sonic Yellow dominates the upper, while Midnight Navy and Tropical Teal accents add contrast throughout the design. The color combination became instantly recognizable when the shoe first released and remains one of the more memorable storytelling-driven palettes from Durant’s signature catalog.
Beyond the colorway itself, the KD 6 also represented an important point in Nike Basketball design. The model introduced a split overlapping tongue design that quickly became one of the shoe’s defining features. Flywire support integrated into the upper helped improve lockdown, while a combination of Max Air and Zoom Air cushioning provided responsiveness and impact protection underfoot.

For longtime fans, the KD 6 represents a period when Durant’s signature line consistently tied performance innovation together with personal storytelling. Many of the earlier models built narratives around places, memories, and moments connected directly to Durant’s life, helping create stronger identity around the series.
The Nike KD 6 'Seat Pleasant' is currently expected to release during Spring 2027.
