Nike GT Future 'Galaxy Aura' Release Date

The Nike GT Future continues to generate serious momentum as one of Nike Basketball’s most discussed modern silhouettes. Since its early previews, the model has drawn comparisons to the Nike Air Foamposite One and even the Nike Zoom Hyperflight, thanks to its molded construction and futuristic aesthetic. Now, Nike leans directly into that conversation with the upcoming GT Future 'Galaxy Aura,' arriving in March 2026.

Inspired by the legendary Air Foamposite One 'Galaxy' from 2012, the 'Galaxy Aura' channels cosmic energy through a darker, more performance-focused lens. Instead of relying on the original’s vibrant purple-heavy palette, this version features a sleek black molded shell accented by a vivid nebula graphic in green, yellow, and subtle orange along the lateral side. Speckled detailing mimics scattered stars, while a glossy black Swoosh blends seamlessly into the sculpted upper.

The GT Future’s build reinforces its forward-thinking identity. A precision-molded upper combines lightweight internal foam with a dynamic external synthetic skin, delivering both structure and a conforming fit. Flowing ridges run from toe to heel for a fluid sense of motion, while perforations at the midfoot enhance breathability. Underfoot, geometric traction patterns are paired with a bold green GT Future plate for contrast.

Performance remains the focus. A full-length Air Zoom Strobel setup works in tandem with a forefoot Air Zoom unit to create explosive responsiveness and a snappy first step. Player-approved Cushlon 3.0 foam in the midsole provides plush comfort designed to keep athletes fresh deep into the fourth quarter. The thick forefoot Zoom unit enhances velocity whether accelerating off the dribble or attacking from a standstill.

The Nike GT Future 'Galaxy Aura' is scheduled to release on March 30, 2026.
