Kids of Immigrants Reworks Nike T90 Into a Mule

Kids of Immigrants is continuing its partnership with Nike through a fresh reinterpretation of the Nike Total 90 III. Instead of simply reviving the early-2000s football classic, the collaboration transforms the silhouette into a mule, blending nostalgic pitch design with a more relaxed lifestyle approach.

The project arrives as football-inspired footwear continues gaining momentum ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Rather than leaning into performance, Kids of Immigrants pushes the Total 90 in a more fashion-driven direction, creating a slip-on silhouette that still preserves the recognizable shape of the original model.

Two colorways anchor the collection. One pair combines khaki tones with Fusion Red, University Gold, and orange accents, while the second takes on a darker Velvet Brown palette with similar bright contrast details. Both versions feature extended fold-over tongues secured with branded rivets, helping preserve the football DNA of the original Total 90 design.

Material choices help separate the pairs even further. One version leans into glossy patent leather finishes, while the other uses suede-heavy construction for a softer look and feel. Cork insoles stamped with collaborative branding add another thoughtful touch and reinforce the project’s lifestyle identity.

What makes the release stand out is how naturally it balances sport heritage with storytelling. Kids of Immigrants has consistently approached collaborations through themes tied to identity and community, and this project continues that direction while tapping into the growing crossover between football culture and streetwear.

The Nike T90 Mule collection is currently expected to release on May 28, 2026, alongside matching apparel and accessories.
