Air Jordan 17 'College Blue' Returns for 25th Anniversary

Jordan Brand is set to revive a long-awaited favorite with the return of the Air Jordan 17 'College Blue.' Originally introduced in 2002, the colorway stands out as one of the defining releases from Michael Jordan’s time with the Washington Wizards and now reemerges as the silhouette reaches its 25th anniversary.

The Air Jordan 17 marked a different direction for the signature line when it first launched. Designed by Wilson Smith III, the model blended luxury inspiration, performance innovation, and references to jazz music—reflecting Jordan’s refined style both on and off the court. That identity helped separate it from earlier models and made it one of the more ambitious entries in the series.

The 'College Blue' edition is remembered for its clean contrast and connection to Jordan’s Wizards era. A premium white leather upper is paired with the model’s signature black removable shroud, while blue accents land across the midsole, lace lock, and outsole details. Chrome touches at the heel and the sculpted midsole design add to the futuristic aesthetic that made the shoe so distinctive in the early 2000s.
