Nike Reveals the Air Jordan 6 'Infrared Salesman'
A coveted sample is finally being released.ByAaron ShamimFeb 06, 2026

Jordan Brand is finally releasing a never-before-seen Air Jordan 6 Infrared sample, now dubbed the 'Salesman.' Set to drop February 14, 2026, this edition draws directly from a 1999 seasonal preview that was pulled from production. With extended Infrared placement across the midsole, a black nubuck upper, and a visible Air unit, this retro finally gives fans the sample that was long kept under wraps.
The AJ6 Infrared has a storied history, first worn by Michael Jordan during the 1991 playoffs where he captured his first NBA Championship. While the colorway has returned in past retros, this edition features reversed-engineered Infrared shades and updates to the silhouette, including a taller tongue and reshaped toe to match the pairs MJ played in. A Dynamic Fit inner sleeve keeps the shoe locked in for comfort and authenticity.

The release honors the shoe’s sample origins, complete with factory-style hangtags, packaging, and inner-collar sample text. Jordan Brand also includes an accompanying apparel pack featuring classic Infrared graphics and additional Infrared-accented footwear like the Air Jordan 1 Low and Flight Court, rounding out the celebration of this iconic silhouette.
“This is the centerpiece of the Infrared Collection,” says Terrance Harvey of Jordan Brand. “MJ won his first championship in this colorway, and it has represented greatness ever since. We’re excited for fans to experience this newly reimagined icon.” The Air Jordan 6 'Infrared Salesman' releases February 14, 2026.
