Nike is bringing back one of the most celebrated Air Max 95 colorways with the return of the Air Max 95 OG 'Granite' for Spring 2026. As part of the brand’s continued Big Bubble revival, the release reconnects Sergio Lozano’s iconic design with both its original aesthetic and a modernized cushioning update.
First introduced in 1995, the Air Max 95 broke from traditional running shoe design by drawing inspiration from the human body. Lozano’s layered upper was modeled after muscle fibers and the spine, creating the now-famous gradient paneling that moves from dark at the base to lighter shades toward the collar. The 'Granite' colorway quickly became a standout within that lineage, praised for its understated yet aggressive look.

The upcoming pair stays faithful to that original formula. Black-to-grey gradient suede overlays wrap the upper, layered over breathable mesh for texture and depth. Black Swooshes appear on the heel, while subtle white accents along the midsole keep the palette balanced. The familiar shape and paneling ensure the shoe looks instantly recognizable to long-time Air Max fans.
Where the update comes in is underfoot. Nike equips the sneaker with Big Bubble Air units, offering a slightly altered visual profile and improved comfort compared to earlier retro versions. The result is a blend of nostalgia and contemporary wearability that aligns with Nike’s current approach to heritage releases. The Nike Air Max 95 OG 'Granite' is set to release in Spring 2026.
