G-DRAGON Reworks Football Heritage Through Nike Cryoshot

G-DRAGON is continuing his partnership with Nike by moving deeper into football culture through the new 'Tigers of Asia' collection under his PEACEMINUSONE imprint. Timed around the growing anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the project blends national football identity with G-DRAGON’s fashion-focused creative direction.

The collection forms part of Nike’s larger “Unmatched Pre-Match” initiative, which connects designers and brands with different national football programs. Representing South Korea, PEACEMINUSONE introduces a capsule that includes pre-match jerseys, woven outerwear, and Nike Tech Fleece pieces centered around a darker black-and-red palette. Graphic-heavy detailing throughout the apparel reflects the collection’s balance between football culture and luxury streetwear aesthetics.

The centerpiece of the release, however, is the Nike Cryoshot CTR360. The silhouette draws inspiration from the classic Nike CTR360 Maestri II football boot originally introduced in 2010, but reimagines the design as an off-pitch lifestyle sneaker instead of a performance model.

A soft Natural-colored upper forms the base of the shoe while University Red Swooshes provide stronger contrast across the side panels. The most distinctive feature appears underfoot through the transparent Cryoshot sole construction. Rather than removing the football influence entirely, the translucent sole visually preserves the original cleat tooling inside the sneaker while adapting it into a wearable everyday outsole setup.

The design reflects a growing trend of football-inspired footwear crossing into fashion and lifestyle spaces ahead of the World Cup cycle. Instead of creating a standard retro football boot, PEACEMINUSONE transforms archival Nike football DNA into something positioned equally between sport, design, and luxury streetwear.

The PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Cryoshot CTR360 and accompanying 'Tigers of Asia' collection are scheduled to release globally in June 2026.
