COMME des GARÇONS Reimagines the Air Jordan 11 for the Runway

The Air Jordan 11 was originally built to bring an unexpected level of elegance to a basketball shoe. Three decades later, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS is pushing that idea even further with one of the silhouette’s most fashion-focused collaborations yet.
First revealed during Paris Fashion Week in January, the project transforms the Jordan 11 through a deliberately minimal approach. Two monochromatic editions — one black and one white — remove much of the visual contrast normally associated with the model and instead place the emphasis on material and shape.

Premium cowhide leather is paired with the Air Jordan 11’s signature patent leather construction, creating different textures within each single-color design. The glossy treatment continues onto the midsole, further streamlining the silhouette from upper to outsole.
COMME des GARÇONS also avoids overwhelming the sneaker with collaborative graphics. Jumpman logos are debossed directly into the upper, while COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS lettering wraps around the collar as one of the clearest identifiers of the partnership.

Even the tongue has been reconsidered. “Homme Plus” replaces the familiar detailing in typography inspired by the original Air Jordan XI branding, connecting the Japanese label’s identity back to the sneaker’s original design language.
The collaboration was later photographed outside COMME des GARÇONS’ Aoyama flagship in Tokyo, where both colorways were styled alongside pieces from the label’s Autumn/Winter 2026 Homme Plus collection. The presentation reinforces the project’s position between performance footwear history and contemporary fashion.
The COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Air Jordan 11 releases September 5, 2026, through Dover Street Market locations in London, Ginza, Los Angeles, New York, and Paris, alongside global E-SHOPs and select COMME des GARÇONS stores.
