Air Jordan 5 'Suns' Set for Spring 2027
Suns-inspired Air Jordan 5 arrives next year.ByAaron ShamimApr 20, 2026

Jordan Brand is continuing its run of themed retros with the upcoming Air Jordan 5 'Phoenix Suns,' expected to arrive as part of the Spring 2027 lineup. While it will not coincide directly with All-Star Weekend, the release still aligns with the season in which Phoenix hosts the 2027 NBA All-Star Game.
The colorway draws inspiration from a rare player-exclusive worn during Shawn Marion’s time with the Phoenix Suns. That original PE appeared in both white and black variations, but early details suggest this retail version will follow the white-based execution, staying close to the more recognizable look.

A clean white leather upper is expected to serve as the foundation, while signature Suns colors—purple and orange—bring the theme to life across the midsole, branding, and accent details. Classic Air Jordan 5 elements remain intact, including the reflective silver tongue, mesh side panels, and translucent outsole sections that define the silhouette.
Branding is still something to watch as more information surfaces. Current expectations point toward standard Jumpman logos with “23” detailing, though the possibility of Nike Air branding on the heel has not been fully ruled out. Final confirmation should come closer to release.
The Air Jordan 5 is currently expected to launch on March 6, 2027. Stay up to date on every upcoming Air Jordan release with our Air Jordan Release Dates calendar.
