Twelve polyurethane columns run the full length of the Nike Shox TL, a mechanical cushioning system that compresses and springs back rather than relying on foam. Nike introduced Shox in 2000 and extended it across the whole foot with the TL in 2003. The palette runs a warm cream across the upper with metallic silver at the overlays and black through the columns and the heel.
