Single-tone 'Black' covers the Nike Shox R4 from the synthetic upper through the overlays, collar, midsole plate and the four heel columns, stripping contrast out of the early-2000s running shape entirely. Those columns compress and rebound under heel strike, the cushioning system Nike engineered for this model in 2000 as an alternative to an Air unit. A TPU midfoot cage and molded counter structure the fit. Blacked-out pillars make the sculpted plate geometry the clearest detail in the build.
