Spider-Man x Air Jordan 1 Returns for 'Beyond the Spider-Verse'

Miles Morales and the Air Jordan 1 have become increasingly difficult to separate. With Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse arriving in 2027, Jordan Brand is preparing another sneaker to accompany the next chapter of the animated franchise. The upcoming Spider-Man x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Beyond the Spider-Verse' will mark the third major Jordan 1 release connected to the films, continuing a relationship that began nearly a decade earlier.

It started with the 'Origin Story' Air Jordan 1 in 2018. Released alongside Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the sneaker played off the classic Chicago colorway worn by Miles in the film while introducing its own Spider-Man-inspired materials and details.

Jordan Brand returned to the concept for 2023’s Across the Spider-Verse with the 'Next Chapter.' That pair took a far more experimental approach, using mismatched textures, patterns, and colors inspired by the movie’s shifting visual styles and alternate dimensions. A rare Prowler-inspired Air Jordan 1 Utility was also created that year, although only 100 pairs were reportedly produced for friends and family.

For the third film, the series is returning to the Air Jordan 1 High OG once again. The 2027 sneaker is currently listed in Black, White, and University Red, maintaining colors closely associated with both Spider-Man and the Jordan 1.

Exactly how those shades will be used remains unknown. No images of the sneaker have surfaced, leaving its materials, color blocking, and potential movie references under wraps. Co-branding and design elements connected to Beyond the Spider-Verse are expected, but additional details have yet to be revealed.

The timing should make the sneaker another major part of the movie’s rollout. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is scheduled to reach theaters on June 18, 2027, with the accompanying Jordan collaboration expected during the same summer. The Spider-Man x Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Beyond the Spider-Verse' is expected to release Summer 2027.
