Nike replaces leather across the upper of this Air Force 1 Low with a looped yarn fabric whose curled surface stands proud of the panel rather than lying flat. The texture gives the quarter and toe box a nubbed, woolly hand against the smooth leather Nike keeps at the Swoosh and heel. 'Boucle' leaves the midsole and outsole in standard white so the fabric carries the whole textural argument. Looped yarns catch and hold shadow in a way the model's usual tumbled leather cannot.
