A molded rubber shell toe caps the front of this adidas Y-3 Superstar, the detail added in 1969 to protect the toe during indoor basketball. 'Black Off White' runs a black leather upper against an off-white sole unit and shell. Yohji Yamamoto began designing the Y-3 range with adidas in 2002. The perforated Three Stripes punch through the leather rather than sitting on top of it.
