Under Armour Fox 3 Is Built Around De’Aaron Fox’s Speed

De’Aaron Fox has built his game around a combination that few defenders can handle: explosive speed followed by the ability to stop almost instantly. For his third signature sneaker, Under Armour designed the Fox 3 specifically around that change of pace.

Weighing just 11.9 ounces, the Fox 3 is lighter than its predecessor and focuses on reducing unnecessary weight without sacrificing the containment needed for aggressive cuts. A lightweight mesh upper keeps the construction streamlined, while a textured fox-tail-inspired graphic adds a visual reference to Fox and the speed behind his game.

Underfoot, Under Armour pairs Charged cushioning with a TPU shank to balance responsiveness and stability. Cutouts along the lateral and medial sides expose portions of the Charged foam, removing material while giving the cushioning system a more visible role in the shoe’s design. The outsole takes a similarly performance-driven approach. A decoupled high-abrasion Flow outsole separates the heel and forefoot, helping the shoe accommodate both rapid acceleration and the sudden braking movements that define Fox’s style of play.

Personal details remain part of the signature line. Fox’s logo appears on the tongue with Under Armour branding at the heel, while the outsole carries the names of his wife and children — Recee, Reign, and Poppy — continuing a family tribute introduced on the Fox 2. The model will debut in the 'Gamer' colorway, a pair Fox first wore during the 2026 NBA Playoffs. Inspired by his interest in video games, the design combines blue, pink, and neon green accents with tongue graphics resembling buttons found across different gaming controllers.

Together, those details give the Fox 3 a more personal identity without distracting from its primary purpose. The third generation is fundamentally about refining Fox’s signature footwear around what makes him different on the court: getting up to speed quickly, stopping under control, and immediately attacking again. The Under Armour Fox 3 'Gamer' releases September 4, 2026, and will retail for $125 USD. A separate rubber-outsole version is scheduled to receive a global release in 2027.
