Nike drew the Air Rift's split toe from barefoot Kenyan runners in 1996, dividing the forefoot so the big toe sits apart from the rest. The Rift 2 rebuilds that idea. 'Summit White Swan' runs an off-white upper against a pale swan-gray midsole. A single hook-and-loop strap crosses the midfoot in place of laces. The outsole is segmented so the foot can flex between the toe sections.
