adidas drew the Superstar II from its basketball footwear, a low court shoe the brand reworked with updated proportions and added padding through the tongue and heel collar. 'Black' carries that leather upper, the serrated three stripes, the heel patch and the laces in one continuous tone, leaving the rubber shell toe as the only break in the surface. The single-color treatment puts the weight on the panel seams and the contrast stitching that outlines each section of the quarter.
