The boiling frog parable names this Hirono figure, the fable in which a frog fails to escape water heated gradually. Pop Mart builds that premise into the sculpt, seating the character in a vessel rather than leaving the reference to the title alone. Hirono's slight build, tousled hair and weary eyes hold artist Lang's familiar shape with its flushed cheeks. The blind box format means the design arrives unidentified until the box is opened.
