Pop Mart's Mist-Walker Series works in fog and half-light, translated here into layered felt in contrasting tones. 'The Backlit Messenger' sets a pale felt shape behind the head, reading as light falling from behind the figure. Darker felt forms the body in front of it. The two layers are joined by visible stitching, which also defines the edge where the light shape ends.
