Nike released the Cortez in 1972 as its first running shoe, built on a full-length foam midsole with a herringbone-patterned outsole underneath. 'Ironstone Baroque Brown Black' runs a grayed stone tone across the upper, with Baroque Brown handling the underlays and a black sole closing the build at the base. The brown sitting beneath the lighter upper reverses the model's usual light-sole layering. A suede toe and the leather Swoosh give the earthy palette two distinct surface finishes to read against.
