Nike's Doernbecher Freedom Collection pairs the brand's designers with patients at Oregon Health and Science University's Doernbecher Children's Hospital, who co-design each shoe, and proceeds go to the hospital. This Air Max Plus, 'Doernbecher', carries that patient's own artwork and lettering across the mesh and cage, with deliberately mismatched left and right details. Tuned Air sits beneath. The personal graphics extend to the insoles and tongue tags, surfaces the program uses for the designer's own message.
