The three stripes on the adidas SL 72 RS run as stitched overlays rather than printed graphics, a construction carried from the 1972 Super Light track shoe adidas first built on a nylon upper to strip weight from the design. 'Core Black Cloud White Blue' breaks the black nylon with white panels and blue detailing at the heel tab and tongue. The blue appears only at those two points, placed away from the stripe work entirely.
