Eminem x Air Jordan 4 'Encore' Reportedly Pulled From 2027 Release

One of Jordan Brand’s most anticipated releases of 2027 may no longer be happening. The Eminem x Air Jordan 4 'Encore' has reportedly been removed from the upcoming release calendar, putting its long-rumored retail debut back into uncertainty.

The sneaker had previously been expected to arrive on May 15, 2027, marking the first time the legendary Eminem collaboration would become widely available. It is currently unclear whether Jordan Brand has delayed the project to a later date or abandoned the planned release altogether.

Adding further doubt, Eminem’s longtime manager Paul Rosenberg responded “Nope” when addressing reports surrounding the supposed retail launch. Neither Eminem nor Jordan Brand has officially announced a new release date.

That uncertainty adds another chapter to the unusual history of the 'Encore.' The original was created in 2005 around Eminem’s Encore album, with only around 50 pairs believed to have been produced for friends and family. Its extreme scarcity eventually helped turn it into one of the most coveted Air Jordan 4 collaborations ever made.

Another version surfaced in 2017 alongside Eminem’s Revival era, but availability became even more limited. Just 23 pairs were reportedly produced, with one made available through a charity campaign benefiting the Marshall Mathers Foundation rather than through a traditional retail launch.

The proposed 2027 edition would have reworked the original rather than recreating it exactly. Blue Ribbon nubuck was expected across the upper with Game Purple replacing the original pair’s red accents. Black and Stealth details, translucent wings, and hidden Eminem branding behind the tongue completed the reported design.

For now, collectors hoping for the first true retail release will have to wait. The Eminem x Air Jordan 4 'Encore' is no longer expected as part of Jordan Brand’s 2027 lineup, with no replacement date confirmed.
