adidas built the original Tokyo as a low-profile training shoe for the 1964 Olympics, and this women's pair carries animal markings across the upper. 'Giraffe Print' spreads irregular brown patches separated by pale channels over the panels. Suede reinforces the toe and heel above that print, and the serrated Three Stripes carry the heel 'X' detail. The patch pattern works at a larger scale than the panels, so each piece shows only part of a marking.
