Woven leather strips replace the suede side panels on this adidas Samba, part of a construction change that swaps a solid hide for an interlaced basketweave framed by smooth leather. 'Basketweave White' keeps the whole upper pale, so the weave shows through the raised and recessed strips rather than through contrast. Gaps between the woven strips let air pass through the side of the women's shoe where solid suede would block it.
