Nike Caitlin 1 Turns Clark’s Long-Range Game Into Her First Signature Shoe

Caitlin Clark has built her game around making the improbable look routine. Deep threes, quick decisions, and shots from well beyond conventional range have become part of her identity, and Nike is translating that style of basketball into her first signature sneaker: the Nike Caitlin 1.
The Caitlin 1 is engineered specifically around speed, range, and unpredictability. At the center of the design is Nike’s new Opticast upper, which uses cast polyurethane nodes of different heights to create lightweight containment while reducing drag. The pattern itself takes inspiration from the ripple of the three-point arc, connecting the shoe’s performance construction directly to Clark’s shooting ability.

Underfoot, a forefoot Air Zoom Turbo unit works alongside a Cushlon foam midsole. The combination is designed to deliver responsive cushioning, court feel, and quick feedback while keeping players controlled as they accelerate, stop, and create space.
Clark’s influence extends far beyond the performance setup. Opticast nodes form a series of C’s along the lateral side, while repeating 2s appear medially as a reference to her jersey number. Her CC logo appears on the tongue, and stacked Swooshes reference the repetition of her initials.
The outsole goes even further into Clark’s long-range identity with three messages: “Shoot More Threes,” “From Anywhere,” and “It Was Never a Long Shot.” Cement-inspired graphics on the sockliner reference the driveway court where Clark developed her game, including the increasingly distant shooting marks created as she extended her range growing up.

Nike is launching the Caitlin 1 as a full signature platform rather than a standalone sneaker. Caitlin Blue and Warning Code lead the footwear rollout, with Midnight Fever, Purple Venom, Ice Cold, Cave Stone, and additional colorways set to expand the lineup.
A corresponding 18-piece apparel collection will include performance and lifestyle pieces ranging from jackets and hoodies to T-shirts. It also introduces Standard Issue Stretch for women’s basketball and incorporates Nike Aero-FIT technology into Clark’s performance apparel.
The Nike Caitlin 1 signature shoe and apparel collection launches September 24, 2026, in China before releasing globally October 1, 2026.
