Martin Gänsler and designer Rudi Hieblinger built the PUMA Speedcat in 1999 from an earlier driver's boot, keeping the ultra-thin sole that let Formula 1 competitors feel the pedals. 'Dark Crimson White' sets a deep red suede upper against a white formstrip and sole on this men's pair. The crimson runs unbroken across the toe and quarter panels. PUMA's racing version carried a fireproof lining that the retail build does not.
