Erling Haaland’s latest Nike Player Edition does more than reference water through color. The Phantom 6 Low Elite 'Baltic Blue' actually reacts to it, using a moisture-sensitive upper that temporarily reveals a hidden graphic when the boot gets wet.

The concept runs throughout the design. Different shades of Baltic Blue, Glacier Blue, and Blue Eclipse create an aquatic palette, while a wave graphic wraps around the heel to reinforce the theme.

The transformation is the standout feature. When moisture reaches the upper, a previously hidden pattern begins to appear across the surface. As the material dries, the graphic gradually disappears and the boot returns to its original appearance.

Beyond the visual effect, Haaland’s PE retains the Phantom 6’s performance-focused construction. Nike Gripknit sits close to the foot and is designed to improve touch and control, while the toe box has been shaped for a more natural fit.

Reflective elements add another layer to the design. The oversized lateral Swoosh, smaller Nike branding, and Haaland’s EH9 logo near the heel incorporate reflective detailing that becomes more visible when hit by light.

Underfoot, Nike uses its Cyclone 360 traction system, with circularly arranged studs designed to support quick cuts and changes of direction. A translucent plate transitions from light blue around the forefoot into a clearer finish toward the heel.

The Erling Haaland x Nike Phantom 6 Low Elite 'Baltic Blue' releases October 1, 2026, and will retail for $280 USD.
