A molded heel cage and stitched overlays give the Nike Air Zoom Vomero 5 its structure, built from panels rather than the molded knit later runners adopted. 'Blue Void' takes a deep navy across the mesh base and the synthetic leather above it, with the heel cage and lace hardware holding the same tone. Cushlon foam runs the length of the midsole. Nike released the model in 2011 as a plush neutral trainer in its road-running line.
