Pokémon and Target Expand 30th Anniversary Collection

Pokémon and Target are expanding their 30th anniversary collaboration with a second collection that shifts the focus beyond Kanto and into the Johto and Hoenn regions. Building on the momentum of the first release, the new drop introduces additional apparel, collectibles, accessories, and seasonal merchandise inspired by some of the franchise’s most beloved generations.

The centerpiece of the collection is a pair of Starter Jackets themed around Johto and Hoenn. The Johto version draws inspiration from the iconic Gold, Silver, and Crystal games, while the Hoenn edition incorporates colors associated with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Both jackets continue one of the most popular features from the original Kanto release by hiding all eight regional Gym Badges inside the pouch pocket.

Beyond outerwear, the collection significantly expands its range of Pokémon-themed products. Apparel includes Pokédex-inspired graphic tees featuring fan favorites such as Snorlax, Munchlax, Pichu, and Psyduck. Several pieces also feature hidden artwork that becomes visible when turned inside out, adding an interactive element for longtime fans. Hoodies and crewnecks featuring the franchise’s classic “Gotta Catch ’Em All!” slogan round out the apparel offerings.

Accessories and collectibles play an equally large role throughout the release. Characters including Eevee, Mew, Jigglypuff, Psyduck, and Ditto appear across bag charms, headwear, and other lifestyle accessories. The broader assortment also includes puzzles, holographic posters, a digital instant-print camera, portable speakers, beach towels, backpacks, totes, and summer-themed gear inspired by Water-type Pokémon.

By expanding beyond the original 151 Pokémon and introducing themes from later generations, the second Target collection continues the anniversary celebration while appealing to fans who grew up with Johto and Hoenn adventures.

The Pokémon x Target Collection Drop 2 is scheduled to release on June 6, 2026. The Johto and Hoenn Starter Jacket preorders will open on June 7, 2026, with expected delivery later in the year.
