Nike Air Max 95 'Old Royal' Brings Back Retro Design
A retro blue-accented take on an Air Max icon.ByAaron ShamimJun 03, 2026

Nike continues its Air Max 95 celebration with the upcoming Air Max 95 'Old Royal,' a clean colorway that stays true to Sergio Lozano’s original design formula while introducing subtle hits of blue throughout the silhouette. The release joins a growing lineup of Air Max 95 launches scheduled for Summer 2026, reinforcing the model’s status as one of Nike’s most enduring running classics.
The colorway arrives in a familiar mix of Black, White, Medium Grey, and Old Royal. White mesh serves as the foundation of the upper, while layered suede panels transition through multiple shades of grey to create the signature gradient effect that made the Air Max 95 instantly recognizable. Black accents cover the mudguard, toe cap, midsole, and outsole, providing a strong contrast against the lighter upper.

While the overall design leans heavily on classic Air Max 95 styling, Old Royal blue gives the sneaker its identity. The vibrant shade appears on the lace loops, tongue badge, mini Swoosh, insole branding, outsole details, and visible Air units. These accents provide just enough color to stand out without disrupting the model’s timeless aesthetic.
White laces and a padded white collar help maintain a clean look through the upper, while the black outsole anchors the design below. Additional blue detailing appears through the outsole plate and midfoot shank window, creating visual consistency from top to bottom.

The result is a colorway that feels familiar yet distinctive, offering a straightforward alternative to some of the louder Air Max 95 releases currently on the market. For fans of the silhouette's traditional gradient styling, the “Old Royal” delivers a versatile option with just the right amount of contrast.
The Nike Air Max 95 'Old Royal' will release on June 2, 2026, and will retail for $190 USD.
