Devin Vassell Unveils Nike Book 2 NBA Finals PE
A championship-inspired Book 2.ByAaron ShamimJun 03, 2026

Devin Vassell is already generating sneaker headlines ahead of the NBA Finals after unveiling an exclusive Nike Book 2 player edition during practice. The unreleased colorway offers one of the earliest looks yet at a special version of Devin Booker’s second signature sneaker, adding another notable PE to the growing Book franchise.
Spotted during San Antonio Spurs preparations for Game 1, the Nike Book 2 PE arrives in a striking gold and white color scheme that immediately evokes championship hardware. The metallic-inspired finish gives the sneaker a premium appearance while differentiating it from previously seen retail and player-exclusive colorways.

Vassell's connection to Booker's signature line makes the appearance less surprising than it might initially seem. He has worn Booker models in the past, and Nike has increasingly placed Book player exclusives on the feet of NBA athletes across the league. Even so, the gold execution stands out as one of the most eye-catching versions of the silhouette to surface so far.
The sneaker also introduces a material change from earlier Nike Book 2 releases. Instead of relying on mesh, suede, or molded paneling, this PE utilizes a perforated leather upper that gives the shoe a more traditional basketball aesthetic. The construction adds a cleaner and more premium feel while preserving the performance-focused foundation of the Book 2.

As player exclusives continue helping build momentum around the Nike Book franchise, Vassell's latest pair serves as another example of Nike expanding the model's visibility beyond Booker himself. With the Finals providing one of basketball's biggest stages, fans will be watching closely to see whether the gold PE makes another appearance during the series.
The Nike Book 2 'Gold' PE currently remains a player-exclusive colorway worn by Devin Vassell. Nike has not announced any plans for a public release.
