Anthony Edwards Brings Georgia Theme to the AE 2

adidas is continuing one of the most recognizable themes from Anthony Edwards’ signature line with the upcoming adidas Anthony Edwards 2 'Georgia Red Clay.' The colorway carries over the Atlanta-inspired concept first introduced on the AE 1 while adapting the story to the more aggressive design language of Edwards’ second signature silhouette.

The sneaker takes direct inspiration from Georgia’s distinctive red clay soil, using a pinkish-red palette that mirrors the iron-rich earth commonly associated with the region. Rather than relying on graphics or heavy storytelling elements, the design focuses primarily on shape, texture, and tonal layering to communicate the theme.

Salmon-colored TPU overlays wrap around the sides of the shoe, creating sharper visual structure throughout the silhouette. The AE 2’s fang-like side panels play a major role in defining the overall look, adding a more aggressive edge compared to the earlier 'Georgia Red Clay' release on the AE 1. Against the textured upper, the molded frame creates a more futuristic and performance-oriented appearance.

Unlike many sequel signature shoes that heavily repeat earlier concepts, the AE 2 version evolves the original idea through the silhouette itself.
