Drifting attention is the subject of 'Daydreaming', with Maruko shown mid-thought in Pop Mart's Nyota Chibi Maruko Chan series. The Nyota chibi format gives her an oversized head against a small body, the black bob and simplified face reading in flat color blocks rather than fine painted detail. Pop Mart molds the figure in ABS and PVC over a magnetic base. Few characters in animation have built as much comedy out of not paying attention as this one.
