Soft magnet backs an MDF panel on each Pop Mart piece, with the bird artwork printed onto the face rather than modeled in relief. The series illustrates its bird characters in hooded onesies across seasonal scenes. Each printed panel runs roughly four inches across. Printing on a wood-composite panel rather than molding in vinyl keeps the illustration's line work intact, since a sculpt would translate drawn detail into raised form.
