adidas treats the BW Army's upper in cracked leather here, a finish that fractures the surface into a fine web of lines across the quarters and toe. 'Black Cracked Leather' holds that treatment in black, so the cracks show as lighter grey channels where the finish has split. The texture reads strongest across the broad side panels. A padded collar and flat laces keep the rest of the shoe close to the military original's plain build.
