The LX program draws on Vans' first factory in Anaheim, borrowing construction details from the original Style 36 and rebuilding them with upgraded materials. 'Souvenir Asphalt' sets a dark asphalt gray across the upper with souvenir-style embroidery and patching applied over it. Glossy vulcanized tape finishes the sidewall of this Old Skool 36, and the UltraCush footbed adds cushioning the 1970s original never carried beneath its waffle outsole.
