Vans introduced the Authentic in 1966 as the Style 44, the first shoe the company produced and the model its rubber waffle outsole debuted on. 'True White' finishes the heavyweight canvas upper in a bright, pure white, carrying the same tone through the foxing tape and midsole. Metal eyelets and a flat cotton lace complete the low-top build. A pure white canvas shows the vulcanized foxing stripe clearly where the sole is bonded to the upper.
