SUBU launched in Japan in 2016 around the idea of a winter sandal, insulating a heelless slip-on with the kind of material usually reserved for down jackets. 'Leopard Charcoal' prints a leopard pattern across the quilted upper over a charcoal ground. The name shortens a Japanese phrase meaning shoes to slip straight into, and the four-layer insulated sole supplies both warmth and a gentle rebound underfoot.
