Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro 'Pure Platinum' Keeps Things Clean for Fall 2026
Kobe’s low-top Protro gets a minimal makeover.ByAaron ShamimAug 21, 2026

Nike’s rollout of the Kobe 3 Low Protro is showing no signs of slowing down, but its latest colorway takes a much more understated approach than many of the pairs revealed so far. The upcoming 'Pure Platinum' edition strips the silhouette down to a nearly monochromatic palette, offering a clean alternative to louder releases like 'Atomic Pink' and the colorful 'WNBA All-Star' edition.
Pure Platinum covers virtually the entire shoe, extending across the Kobe 3 Low’s distinctive molded cage and underlying panels. The tonal treatment puts more attention on the model’s unusual geometric construction, a defining feature carried over from the original Kobe 3 design. Armory Blue provides the primary contrast. The cool-toned shade appears across the branding, while a metallic Swoosh near the heel adds a subtle reflective finish without disrupting the minimal look.

The colorway has already made its way onto the basketball court ahead of its retail arrival. South Korean forward Jun Seok Yeo wore the 'Pure Platinum' during the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers, providing an early on-foot look before official imagery of the sneaker began circulating.
The pair joins an increasingly diverse Kobe 3 Low Protro lineup for 2026. Nike has used the revived low-top as a canvas for everything from bright 'Atomic Pink' treatments to player-focused editions such as Jalen Brunson’s 'Arancia,' giving the retro model a much broader range of looks. The 'Pure Platinum' heads in the opposite direction, relying on the Kobe 3’s distinctive shape rather than bold color blocking to make an impression.
The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro 'Pure Platinum' is expected to release in September 2026. Men’s pairs will retail for $190 USD.
