Swatch and Audemars Piguet built the Royal Pop as a pocket watch rather than a wristwatch, taking the 1980s Swatch POP as the starting point. The 'Huit Blanc' name is French for white eight, matching the eight hexagonal screws set into the Royal Oak octagonal bezel. Bioceramic forms the 40mm case, a composite of two-thirds ceramic and one-third castor oil derived material. A hand-wound SISTEM51 caliber drives it, visible through the sapphire caseback.
