Kasing Lung created the Monsters characters in 2015, and Pop Mart puts Labubu through a salon across the Hair Salon designs. The fifteen regular designs divide between hairstyle treatments and the staff roles that produce them. Labubu's serrated grin and tall pointed ears stay readable under every style. Every style has to clear the ears, which fixes a constraint the sculptors work around. Running a series on haircuts means the sculpt changes above the face while the face itself stays fixed.
