Commemorative coins are struck flat with a raised relief on each face, and Pop Mart renders Labubu that way here. The character's tall pointed ears and nine-toothed grin are pressed into the metal rather than painted onto it. Kasing Lung created Labubu in 2015 among THE MONSTERS. A coin of this kind is handled rather than displayed upright, with the relief catching light across its raised edges.
