Kasing Lung drew on the Nordic folklore he read growing up in the Netherlands when he created The Monsters, and the Forest Fairy figure returns Labubu to that woodland source. The character keeps its tall pointed ears and the row of nine pointed teeth the design is built around. Pop Mart issues the piece as a standing sculpt. Casting Labubu as a forest fairy puts the character back into the storybook setting its original illustrations came from.
