Becoming a Tree turns DIMOO into the thing rather than placing him beside it, with branch and foliage forms growing from the character's own body. Ayan Deng's design keeps its oversized rounded head, small ears and wide painted eyes through the transformation. Pop Mart molds the piece in vinyl with the growth worked into the sculpt rather than printed on. The branching elements are cast as separate raised sections so they hold depth away from the body.
