The tiger-stripe lacing design has run along the side panels of the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 since the model's 1966 introduction, a feature developed as Onitsuka Tiger prepared for the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. 'Rust Orange' covers the leather upper in a deep, earthy orange that carries across the quarters, toe and stripe alike. Gold lettering marks the heel counter. The warm tone extends onto the midsole, keeping the shoe in one color from the laces to the ground.
