Timberwolf gives the mesh and synthetic upper a warm gray base here, with Sea Salt lightening the overlays and N logo. Polyurethane fills the rest of the sculpted midsole, and the whole arrangement dates to 1999, when New Balance built the 1000 for overpronated runners.
